seasoned Nigerian Actor, chinedu ikedieziealso known as Aki, has taken to social media to lament the alarming rate at which people ask for money online.
In a rant video posted to his Instagram page, the movie star revealed that numerous people bombard his DM with financial requests.
Ikedieze said someone asked him for a whopping $35,000 and someone else asked for $12,000. He also pointed out that outrageous lawsuits also come from foreigners.
The Nollywood icon called on fans and social media users to understand that celebrities have responsibilities too.
He said; “This is getting out of hand. How can you guys convert my DM to Industry Bank? If I open my DM it’s always ‘Oga please please please’ Jesus! It’s too much. The way you guys They beg, it’s like we don’t have responsibilities. If I start dividing the money up like that, it’ll end.
Imagine someone asked me for $35,000. Is that how much in Naira? Approximately twenty something Millions. Another was asking me for $12,000 who wants to open a store. The problem is even that it’s not just Nigerians.”
