A shooting in Vista left one person dead Wednesday and another under arrest, authorities said.
The fatal shooting in the 100 block of Camino Corto broke out just before 11:30 a.m., according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.
Paramedics took the injured man to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Lt. Matthew Carpenter said.
Shortly after arriving in the area, officers arrested the suspected shooter. His and the victim’s names were not immediately available, and the circumstances leading up to the shooting remained under investigation as of late afternoon.
