“I’ve never been a guy who takes so many fancy shots, because we have to play 12 months of the year. for me it is not [about] playing fancy shots and dropping my wicket. We have Test Cricket after the IPL, so I have to stay true to my technique and find ways to win games for my team, something I take great pride in, and when I can make an impact in a big game, obviously that helps me. It gives confidence, it gives the team confidence, and it just helps the team in general, which is something I look to do,” Virat Kohli said yesterday.

With 14 points from 13 matches, Bangalore is currently in fourth place in the IPL 2023 standings. In their final league match of the season, they will take on the defending champions Gujarat Titans on Sunday.
