A Nigerian man identified simply as mr moHe has shared his worst betrayal at the hands of who he thought was a good friend.
The Australia-based businessman said he was preparing to resume his studies abroad, so he sent his school fees to a close friend who was already staying there, to help pay school fees for two semesters so he could get a conditional acceptance letter.
He said that when the boy received the money, he paid only one semester’s fee, after which he used the balance to buy clothes and have fun.
Mr. Mo said that it was after completing the first semester that he discovered that his boy did not pay the full tuition as agreed.
The school had called him to remind him about the payment for the second semester, but he was surprised because he thought it was settled.
He confronted his boy but had no explanation, however he was able to get money to pay school fees by himself.

I finished the first semester, the school called me to say that I needed to pay my tuition before I could move on to the second semester. I told them they were wrong because I already paid for 2 semesters. They showed me evidence that I still owe, I called my friend to ask him what happened…
He was unable to give me any concrete explanation as to why he did not pay my full fee. I was stranded, luckily I was able to get my tuition back up. Although we are no longer friends, that person could kill me one day.”
