Kunle Remia well-known Nollywood actor, has recently responded after being excluded from the list of nominees for the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA).
The actor who starred in ‘anikulapo‘, one of the most talked about movies last year 2022. The movie did so well that it garnered sixteen nominations, however its lead character was snubbed.
However, Kunle reacted to this, thanking his fans for reaching out to him to cheer him on. Kunle congratulated his friends and colleagues who made the list.
He wrote: “I have seen all the tags after the AMVCA nomination announcement. It would be careless not to appreciate the love, calls and messages. Thanks relatives.
“First of all congratulations to all my friends/colleagues, this year won’t be great without the incredible work and effort from all of you. God save one, because if I Dey the categories I to win (joke) before one says otherwise. May the best win. PS- Please someone should review deyemitheactor”

‘I don’t know why female actresses are doing better than us male counterparts’ – laments Kunle Remi
Ngnews247 remembers that Kunle Remi talked about why actresses are doing better than their male colleagues.
Appearing on the ‘Honest Bunch’ podcast, he mentioned that sometimes he drives to a movie location and his female colleagues pull up in more expensive cars.
According to Anikulapo’s star actor, this is surprising because he knows how much he is paid for the film and also has an idea of how much actresses are paid for the same film.
Kunle Remi mentioned that actresses like to say that they have multiple sources of income when asked how they drive expensive cars.
The actor mentioned that this appearance may negatively affect actresses who are new to the industry as they would expect a lot and end up disappointed when they see that the industry is not what it is seen to be.
“How come the girls seem to be doing better than the men? That is a very valid question.
“I get to the set, I’m probably driving my normal moderate car, and then you see your co-actress pull up. Don’t just pull up or pull up.
“You start to see it as, I’m a leader, right?
“I probably know the budget for the whole movie we’re making.
“I know how much they paid me; I have an idea how much they paid you.
I’m sweating here and you pull up in a nice car.
“People around you look at it like, what are you doing differently? What are they doing different?
“The ladies will tell you; ‘I’m selling hair. I’m doing this. I have multiple streams of income.
“Some people have it by mouth, we don’t know exactly what the conversation is.”
Kunle Remi continued: “Now, the next person to come after you; What do they hope to get when they get to where you are?
“They wait, this girl is driving this type of car, that means the industry is booming.
“They come to this, they give it their all, they do their best and they don’t see what you say they’re doing,” Kunle Remi said.
