Honda Civic crash racing in Genting Highlands – PDRM reveals driver has 11 traffic citations – paultan.org

Earlier this week, a video of an FD Honda Civic crashing into the side of a hill while trying to negotiate a corner going up the Genting Highlands went viral.

The single-vehicle incident, which took place last Sunday at kilometer 14.6 of the route, showed the dangers of trying to climb the hill and applying an incorrect input at the wrong time, without anticipating the radius of the curve in relation to the velocity/position. and braking mid-corner set the tone for the script to play out the way it did.

Now, PDRM has revealed more details about the 7:25 am incident, in which the 27-year-old driver of the vehicle escaped unharmed. In conducting post-accident investigations, it was revealed that the driver of the car has 11 traffic citations in his name.

Bentong Police Chief Superintendent Zaiham Mohd Kahar said the driver was called in for questioning and a check revealed the record of citations. He said the case was being investigated under Section 42 of Law 333 of the Road Transport Law of 1987 for reckless and dangerous driving.

As the incident showed, a mishap is only a moment away, perfectly encapsulated by the adage, malang tidak berbau. Drive safely and observe all the laws on the road, and leave the racing for the racing track.
