He Kebi State Police commandos have arrested a transvestite identified by the pseudonym ‘Maryam’ who uses to deceive unsuspecting men.
It is said that he involved numerous men in affairs online and made them fight to take him as a wife without knowing that he is a man.
The transvestite, from the city of Gwandune, allegedly received thousands of Naira from suitors who were trying to get ‘her’ to accept their marriage proposals.
However, things took a different turn when victims started asking what was so special about Maryam that she had many men ready to fall for her love.
During interrogation, the suspect confessed to the crime, adding that he obtained a lot of money, including foreign notes, from various men who courted her.
According to the Police, ‘Maryam’ has been arrested and will be prosecuted.
