
The All Progressive Congress (APC) House of Representatives candidate for the Oluyole federal constituency in today’s election, the Hon. Tolulope Akande-Sadipe, has dedicated his re-election at the polls to his late mother, Princess Bamidele Abiose Akande and to all the people of the constituency.
In a speech of gratitude, after her declaration as an elected member of the House of Representatives, the legislator said: “Today I dedicate this victory to Almighty God, my late mother, my husband and my family who have sacrificed so much to allow me to do this. . I dedicate this to all APC leaders, who have supported me and all members of the Oluyole federal constituency.”
Akande-Sadipe, who currently represents the Oluyole federal constituency in the House of Representatives, reaffirmed her commitment to deliver more democracy dividends to her constituency.
As he pledged to rededicate himself to the service of the people, Tolulope Akande-Sadipe He stated that he will ensure that more achievements of democracy are brought to Oluyole.
He expressed optimism that serving as a member of the House of Representatives in the president-elect’s administration, Bola Ahmed Tinubu means good news for his electorate.
Akande-Sadipe ran under the APC and polled 14,891 votes to defeat her closest rival, Mogbonjubola Olawale Mojeed of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), who polled 13,073 votes.
She said: “My dear people of the Oluyole federal constituency, let me thank God for this victory. I almost gave up and lost hope, but you supported me. I thank all the members of the Oluyole constituency for the show of solidarity and love that was seen and exhibited during the course of the February 25 election and this by-election.”
He added: “This victory seemed like such an impossible task, especially after what happened during the first election, and then my mother died. I couldn’t see my mother, because she was trying to protect my mandate.
“As I have been re-elected to serve you in Abuja, I will do everything I can to advance our cause before the chamber to ensure that the dividends of democracy and the opportunities available to my office reach my constituency,” she said.
