Carlo Ancelotti, Real Madrid manager, has stated that he would prefer Spanish international Marco Asensio to stay at the club.
The Italian said the Spain striker is one of the players he trusts so well to deliver goods when it is most needed.
Asensio and Karim Benzema scored this Wednesday for the LaLiga and Champions League champions by defeating Chelsea 2-0 in the first leg of the quarterfinals at the Bernabéu.
The Spaniard, who joined the club in 2015, has scored 58 goals and provided 30 assists in 273 appearances for Real Madrid.
Ancelotti said via Madrid Universal: “I hope he stays here at Real Madrid. Having a player like Marco in the squad is essential, he can always help with goals and assists at any time. I trust him, he always scores!”
