Season 3 of Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is live, and the big DMZ update includes many new features you’ll want to try, including more ways to safely exit your match. Here’s everything you need to know about the new Season 3 exit options with the Heavy Chopper.
How to Get Heavy Chopper Extraction
Surviving a DMZ match and keeping all your loot requires you to leave the map. You can still take the standard exfil, the last exfil chopper on the map, or use a hostage contract to extract, but now you can use one of the new heavy choppers from season 3 to make a slightly stealthier escape. Here are the two ways you can use them.
Buy a heavy mincer extraction
Getting a private exfil is expensive, but if you have enough cash or can pool it with your teammates, you can exit the match via a heavy helicopter. It’s a $50,000 buy at a buy station, which will cause the helicopter to land at an exit point that is inactive to other players in your match.
Of course, just because they can’t hijack your ride doesn’t mean you can’t die. This area won’t make you invulnerable if enemies are nearby, but there’s a lot less heat with this paid extraction than with a public extraction location.
Refuel a heavy helicopter
If you can’t afford the $50,000 price tag, another option to use a heavy helicopter exfil is to use the stationary one located on your tactical map. This helicopter is in the Hafid port of Al Mazrah, and it won’t fly anywhere until someone refuels it.
You cannot use the normal gas cans that are used to fuel the other vehicles in the DMZ. You will have to search for what is required heavy helicopter fuel. This fuel is most commonly found near Al Mazrah airport, so check inside buildings and garages around the airport.
It can also sometimes be found on the freight train that runs around the map. This train is often a hotly contested location in the DMZ, and the airport has tons of AI to fight. Both places offer different risk, so just choose which area is more convenient for you.
Find a heavy helicopter fuel can and take it to the helicopter so you can pilot the plane. Flying the helicopter out of bounds will automatically trigger your ejection from the match.
