Jade Cooper cause of death
We are sorry to have to inform you that Jade Cooper has passed away. Jade Cooper was considered to have a friendly personality. Many people must be curious about Jade Cooper’s cause of death in light of the recent news.
Due to cystic fibrosis, Jade Cooper underwent a double lung transplant in 2016. Unfortunately, she developed organ rejection and required a second double lung transplant in March 2021. This time, the transplant was quite a challenge; the procedure required 25 hours, 42 liters of blood, and 3 emergency trips to the operating room within the first 2 weeks after surgery.
Unfortunately, he experienced a small air leak in his right anastomosis after his most recent transplant (connection of the new lungs to his body). They had to do another operation to fix the air leak, removing a part of her omentum flap (extra tissue on her belly) and stitching it up in the area of the leak. This resulted in the buildup of scar tissue, other tissue, and long-standing sutures, which gradually closed over time, making it impossible for him to breathe through that lung.
Medical professionals can expand the airway using a balloon catheter to bring it to a nearly normal size. It is only a few millimeters wide for the average healthy individual, and the stretching tends to continue for two to three months at a time. They were able to detect infection and rejection while doing so, as well as clear any extra mucus from their lungs.
Despite having new lungs, he still generates excess mucus from having cystic fibrosis. Due to its tiny airways and lack of an immune system, it does not have the ability to clear phlegm on its own, which is a very serious situation.
When he was finally allowed out of the intensive care unit and back to his Toronto flat, he spent about 4 months there. In August 2021, she returned to Burton. Since then, Jade and her husband have experienced six medical emergencies that required them to return to Toronto for weeks at a time.
Ben posted on his Facebook page in September 2022 that Jade had sent him a message saying that she was suddenly having trouble breathing and needed a lot more oxygen. Jade has been returned to the ICU on stage due to her fluctuating oxygen demands, according to a Facebook post by Ben. However, her X-ray showed extra fluid and a possible infection once again. She said that she felt much better that night.
They did the second transplant operation in October 2022 at 5:00 pm after being told it would take place at 1:00 pm They told Ben that they could improve the condition, which was highly unlikely. Ben was supposed to be informed after she had finished the surgery (he was told 1.5 hours max). The pulmonary artery of her right lung was constricted from scarring after her second transplant. The size of her has shrunk to that of a spaghetti noodle. There was a significant risk that they would not be able to place a catheter in the constricted vein, but today they succeeded. She expanded from the size of a spaghetti noodle to the size of a pencil.
She was taken in for an angiography in November 2022. Ben posted on Facebook that Jade had returned from treatment, but still didn’t know if it had been successful. During two of those visits, she Jade needed a ventilator for several weeks and, in December, she required a plane to Toronto after contracting a lung infection that caused her kidneys to fail.
Ben, Jade’s husband of ten years, has stood by her. Ben often worked from home or took time off from work to be with her when she was sick and had to return to Toronto for treatment.
Unfortunately, Jade Cooper passed away on Sunday, April 9 at 5:53 p.m.
Jade Cooper GoFund Me:
Ben and Jade set up a GoFundMe campaign in September 2022 to help with medical costs. The costs associated with this are HUGE, and the government offers little support (has been denied disability assistance dozens of times even after several appeals, no Medicare lodging reimbursement if Jade is admitted). Depending on the season, a week-long hotel stay in Toronto typically costs between $1,200 and $1,800. And of course, that includes the reduction in medical fees. His hospital stay in December cost nearly $8,000 when you factor in the cost of the hotel, meals, transportation, and over-the-counter medications. They worked very hard to pay off that debt, but subsequently had to return to Toronto four times, adding to their costs.
