Thompson Playa del Carmen welcomes a new General Manager, Matías Tugores, whose leadership, charisma and experience are linked to
continue the prosperity of the property.
With more than 22 years of experience in the hotel industry, Tugores has worked with hotels all over the world, from Spain to England, Morocco and more. His career has focused on lifestyle properties and five-star hotels in the Ultra Luxury category.

The General Manager shared that his strategy will focus on initiatives that further management and gastronomy, including food and beverages by the ESHBI of Bilbao in Spain. His career includes positions at Iberostar in the Canary Islands, The Excellence Collection in Puerto Morelos, Catalonia Playa del Carmen, Preferred Hotels and Resorts and Shibari Tulum. His extensive experience is ideal for leading the Thompson Playa del Carmen team to greater success.
