IHM joins adjacent spaces at IHIF

United Kingdom/Germany: International Hospitality Media (IHM), the publisher of Boutique Hotel News (BHN), will support the Adjacent Spaces event on May 16, 2023 at the International Hospitality Investment Forum (IHIF).

IHM is a media partner of Adjacent Spaces, a one-day event that will take place in conjunction with IHIF (May 15-17) in Berlin. Adjacent Spaces will explore alternative affirmation classes such as coliving, coworking, serviced apartments, hostels and student housing.

A number of hospitality businesses including Accor, CitizenM, Ascott and more will appear on the show, highlighting the growing interest of hospitality operators in different asset classes.

In Adjacent Spaces, BHN editor Eloise Hanson will lead the morning’s discussion: Next-Level Residential Hospitality: Shaping the Future of Living.

She will be joined by Eva White, CEO of ARIV Coliving, Jeff Tisdall, Commercial Director of Accor One Living, and Ngor Houai Lee, Managing Director Europe of Ascott. The conversation will focus on what makes branded residences and serviced apartments attractive for investment, the ownership and operating structures behind each business, and where opportunities exist for owners and investors.

The complete program of Adjacent Spaces can be found here.

Joe Stather, Vice President of Market Leader, Operating Real Estate at Questex, said, “Limited service hotels and alternative concepts offer real potential for investors and operators. We are aware that more investors are showing interest, no doubt attracted by the lower cost base and lack of exposure to the same operational hurdles as full-service hotels. With its focus on alternative concepts and its dedicated program of discussions highlighting the opportunities within this space, Adjacent Spaces is the ideal forum for both those active in these markets and those looking to join them.”
