Mahama will resume the national campaign after Easter; ready to visit the east and other regions


Presumptive National Democratic Congress (NDC) standard-bearer John Mahama will resume his national campaign tour on April 11, 2023 after taking a break to observe the Easter festivities.

You will start with a visit to the Eastern Region and then parts of the Greater Accra Region before touring the Oti Region.

According to John Mahama’s spokeswoman, Joyce Bawah Mogtari, he will be in the eastern region for three days and campaign in 31 constituencies.

“National Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential hopeful John Dramani Mahama will resume his national campaign after the Easter festivities on Tuesday, with a three-day visit to the Eastern Region.

Mr. Mahama will visit thirty one (31) districts where he will meet and interact with branch and district executives. He has so far toured 7 regions, touching down in 106 constituencies.

In the eastern region, former President Mahama will speak about his vision of Building Together the Ghana We Want and why securing a convincing victory in the NDC primary will go a long way in the 2024 presidential election,” he announced.

Beyond outlining his vision for the country’s development, John Mahama “will also share his plans to improve the party’s electoral and voting campaign, through voter mobilization and polling, and the effective use of party materials and resources.” Campaign”.

John Mahama is expected to win the flag race by a wide margin given his previous stellar performance and the support base he commands. The contenders, Dr. Kwabena Duffuor and former Kumasi mayor Kojo Bonsu, are seen as eager to make a statement for the future rather than win the standard bearer contest.

PRESS RELEASE: John Mahama heads to the Eastern Region on Tuesday

National Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential hopeful John Dramani Mahama will resume his national campaign after the Easter festivities on Tuesday, with a three-day visit to the Eastern Region.

Mr. Mahama will visit thirty one (31) districts where he will meet and interact with branch and district executives. He has so far toured 7 regions, touching down in 106 constituencies.

In the eastern region, former President Mahama will speak about his vision of Building Together the Ghana We Want and why securing a convincing victory in the NDC primary will go a long way in the 2024 presidential election.

He will also share his plans to improve the party’s polling and electoral campaign, through voter mobilization and canvassing, and the effective use of campaign materials and resources.

Mr. Mahama has announced a rewards scheme to recognize party branches that increase their constituency votes in both parliamentary and presidential elections.

From the eastern region, President Mahama will spend a day touring some constituencies in the Greater Accra region on Friday, April 14, before heading to the Oti region.
