Once again, armed herders attack Benue IDP camp, killing 43 and injuring many
No fewer than 43 internally displaced people, IDPs, are feared to be killed in an overnight attack on LGEA Primary School, Mgban, Nyiev Council Ward, Guma Local Government Area, Benue State by suspected armed herders.
Although the details of the incident are still sketchy, Vanguard deduced that the primary school, which houses internally displaced persons, was attacked around 10 pm on Good Friday by the marauders.
The source hinted that among the 43 bodies recovered so far from the scene of the attack are those of pregnant women and children, while dozens suffered serious injuries and many are still missing.
The attack came a few days after a similar attack in Umogidi village, Enetekpa Adoka district of Otukpo LGA, which claimed 52 lives.
