Trials of Osiris Rewards This Week in Destiny 2 (March 31 – April 4)

After a week-long hiatus for Iron Banner, Destiny 2’s Trials of Osiris is back in action. As usual, you can expect a weekend of intense action on this PvP side, as teams compete to earn fame, glory, and some of the best loot in the game in this multiplayer mode. Before you jump, don’t forget to check where is xur and whether the arms dealer has anything that might help tip the odds in his favor. Here’s a look at where you’ll be playing Trials of Osiris this weekend and what weapons you can earn.

Map: Exhaustion

  • Reputation Rank 4: Upgrade Module x 2
  • Reputation Rank 7: Enhancement Prism x 3
  • Reputation Rank 10 – Test Weapon
  • Reputation Rank 13: Upgrade Module x 2
  • Reputation Rank 16 – Test Weapon
  • Flawless Reward: Whistler’s Whim (Adept)

For this season of Trials, Bungie has decided to remove the Freelance node and enable Fireteam matchmaking. That means even if you don’t have any friends joining you for some highly competitive PvP fun on the weekend, you’ll still be matched up with two other players as you try to win some of the best gear in the game.

Season 20 loot includes The Immortal, a new Legendary-class 750 RPM Strand machine gun. This particular SMG, The inmortal, is proving very popular in PvP, especially when combined with the Target Lock perk, which many players consider a good play. Players can also potentially pick up Astral Horizon, an aggressive shotgun for their Kinetic slot, and one that has a chance to roll with the Slideshot, Surplus, Opening Shot, Shot Swap, and Elemental Capacitor perks.

Test weapons carry the Alacrity Origin Trait, which gives you increased aim assist, reload speed, stability, and range on these weapons when you are the last living member of a fireteam or running solo. You can also choose to switch to Crucible Origin’s trait, One Quiet Moment, which greatly improves your weapon’s reload speed when you reload while out of combat.

The Trials reward system has also been changed this season and works in the same way as other Tower providers. Engrams you earn will stay with Saint-14 until you visit and decode them, and there’s now an option to target weapons and armor sets that are no longer in rotation for a certain number of engrams and resources. If you have Trials engrams from previous seasons, you will need to visit Master Rahool to decipher them.

The tests are activated from the daily reset on Friday at 10 am PT/1 pm ET until the weekly reset at the same time the following Tuesday. Be sure to visit Saint-14 in the Tower to pick up a Trials card, which will dictate certain bonuses (such as whether you get bonus rewards at certain milestones or a loss will be forgiven). Your ultimate goal in Trials of Osiris is for you and the other two players on your team to achieve a “flawless” run, winning seven games without losing any.

Go flawless and you’ll earn a trip to the lighthouse and receive some special rewards, including Adept weapons. These have additional stat bonuses, making them one of the most coveted items you can get your hands on. Your Trials Passage, the card you buy from Saint-14 that grants you access to the mode and keeps track of your victories, does not No It keeps track of your losses, so you can keep playing and earning rewards even if you lose in a flawless race.

Bungie also adjusted Trials last year so that rewards could be earned based on the number of rounds won rather than matches, and added a reputation system similar to Crucible and Gambit, making it easier to earn some of the unique loot from Osiris Trials.
