A UK-based Nigerian stylist has said she couldn’t date a man who suggested splitting the bills on a date.
The lady known as Oyinda said she doesn’t have a particular problem with splitting the bill, but once that happens, it means they’ve ruled out any chance of being a couple.
She explained that she would find it hard to view a man like that as a romantic interest and by virtue of the act, they have sealed their platonic friendship.
Oyinda stated this on the microblogging platform, Twitter, when she emphasized that she loves to go out to eat with or without a man, so her problem is not hunger.
She tweeted; “The problem is not dividing the bills on dates because I am not a hungry girl, going out to eat is my forte with or without a man.
The problem is that my brain works hard to keep seeing you as a romantic interest after splitting the bills. We’re friends now, we might as well have a fist bump before we finish the night.”
