Scott Robertson is a manager and former New Zealand rugby union player who is currently the head coach of the Crusaders and has been announced as the next head coach of the New Zealand national team, the All Blacks, from 2024 .

Scott Robertson attended Oregon State University in 1984. In addition to his studies, he participated in the rowing team as an archer. Scott transferred to Art Center College of Design, where his father had studied before him, after spending two and a half years at Oregon State.
In April 1990, he earned his BA in Transportation Design with honors. Scott and his friend Neville Page set up a product design consulting business in San Francisco the day after his graduation.

He played flanker for Bay of Plenty, Perpignan, Canterbury and the Crusaders. He earned 22 caps for New Zealand between 1998 and 2002. He was the head coach of the New Zealand Under-20 team and the Canterbury ITM Cup team. He has been the Crusaders’ head coach since 2017, taking over from Todd Blackadder. With the Crusaders, he won six consecutive Super Rugby championships, from 2017 to 2022.
In 1996 he moved to Canterbury to play for the Crusaders in the first year of the newly formed Super 12 rugby competition. He played full-back, which was his preferred position up front. After leaving the Crusaders, Scott Robertson moved to Europe, where he played for various clubs, including Ards (Northern Ireland) and Perpignan (France). He eventually moved to Japan, where he played for the Ricoh Black Rams, before retiring in 2007.
In 2020 and 2021, Scott Robertson coached the Crusaders to two successful Aotearoa Super Rugby Championships. Both were considered soft competition at Super Level due to the pandemic and only 5 New Zealand teams played, with many of the teams suffering key player losses early on. Since becoming head coach of the Crusaders, the only competition he did not win was the 2021 Super Rugby Trans-Tasman add-on and despite picking up 5 wins from 5 games, the Crusaders only ranked 3rd (based on the difference of points), and lost the final. Following successful Super Rugby Aotearoa campaigns, Robertson again coached the Crusaders to a championship, this time in the inaugural Super Rugby Pacific format in 2022.
