Clinton Morrison, a former Premier League striker, believes Romelu Lukaku can thrive at Chelsea next season if he stays fit.
Belgium international Lukaku is currently on a season’s loan at Inter Milan after his £97.5m return to Chelsea in 2021 met with no success.
But Inter have lingering concerns about Lukaku’s lack of fitness and the 29-year-old will return to Stamford Bridge at the end of this season.
Morrison told Sky Sports that Lukaku will impress when he returns to Stamford Bridge in the summer.
“Romelu Lukaku has gone on loan and there is talk of his return,” Morrison said.
“Can he be that focal point?
“If you have Romelu Lukaku in form, with the players they have brought in who can go and create things, he should be able to score goals in that team.
“That’s one to watch. If they get Romelu Lukaku back, I’m sure he’ll score goals at that Chelsea,” he added.
