Once his divorce was finalized in 1968, the Departed actor reportedly had an affair with his Five Easy Pieces co-star Susan Anspach, which resulted in the birth of their second child, Caleb Goddard. Jack, however, has yet to publicly acknowledge paternity.

In 2011, the Anger Management star gave fans a rare glimpse into his dynamic with Lorraine and Ray. “They’re great. I was never what you call a hands-on type of dad, but I’m lucky my kids have turned out the way they have,” Jack said at the time via the Daily Mail. “Fatherhood is about being in the lap of the gods. All you can do is do your best.”
Lorraine, who is one of Jack’s many children to dabble in acting, poked fun at his dynamic with their famous dad three years later.
“He gives me top-secret advice,” she told Entertainment Tonight in February 2014. “Obviously, I’m not going to share it with anyone, because it gives our family a competitive edge.”
However, Jack’s sixth child claimed that he never received the same guidance and support. tessa gourinwho was born to be a waitress Jennine Gourin, in 1994, alleged in early 2023 that he never knew his father growing up. Although he claimed that Jack is his biological father, the actor has never publicly commented on his paternity.
Tessa claimed in a February 2023 interview with The Daily Beast that the As Good As It Gets actor was “not interested” in having a relationship with her as a child. However, she explained that Jack was involved in financing her early education.
“I knew he was powerful and rich on a Daddy Warbucks level, so I compared my life to orphaned Annie,” she told the outlet, revealing that her mother told her “don’t tell anyone I have this famous father. ”
