
Accorthe region’s largest international hotel operator, and Ennismore, the fastest growing lifestyle hotel company, will expand its portfolio with a number of key hotel and resort openings across Southeast Asia in the coming year. With close to 30 new properties confirmed under ten different brands in nine countries, 2023 marks an important milestone in the regional development strategies of the two groups.
Thailand is a key market and 2023 will see the arrival of a number of new major hotels and resorts in the kingdom. Ennismore’s TRIBE Bangkok Sukhumvit 39 (slated to open in the second quarter of 2023) will mark the debut of the design-driven, guest-centric TRIBE brand in Thailand, while the 207-key Novotel Living Bangkok Sukhumvit Legacy (Q2) by Accor to introduce Novotel extended stay concept in Thai capital sukhumvit district. Also in Bangkok, guests can expect the 178-key Mercure Bangkok Sukhumvit 60 (Q4) and the 666 key ibis Styles Bangkok Twin Towers (Q3), which will become the largest ibis Styles hotel in the world.
Outside of Bangkok, the 234-key Novotel Rayong Star Convention Center (Q1) will become a important new MICE and leisure destination on the east coast of Thailand, while the Mercure Rayong Lomtalay Villas & Resort will debut its garden wing, which will include an additional 133 rooms, suites and villas, four restaurants and bars, along with extensive facilities for meetings, conferences and events. Grand Mercure Resort Ao Nang Krabi (Q4) will also make its debut in southern Thailand with 200 keys by the end of the year.
