A police patrol car has received a citation for being parked in a motorcycle park, Berita Harian informed. The vehicle was confirmed to be the property of the Johor contingent police force, Hulu Selangor District Police Chief Superintendent Suffian Abdullah said.

Hulu Selangor police tracked down a Facebook post showing the police vehicle breaking traffic rules when parked in a motorcycle parking space, the Hulu Selangor district police chief said.

“Investigations found that the vehicle had a registration number of the Johor Contingent Police and had come from Kuala Kubu Bharu for official duties,” Suffian said in a statement yesterday. The district police chief added that Hulu Selangor Traffic Enforcement and Investigation Division has issued a citation for obstruction of traffic under Rule 16(1) of the Rules of the Road 1959.

The police will not compromise with the crimes committed and will take appropriate coercive measures, Suffian said according to Berita Harian. At the same time, the Hulu Selangor District Police Chief advised the public not to circulate the incident and instead leave the matter in the hands of the authorities for further action.
