An investigation was underway Friday after a Chula Vista woman was struck by two vehicles and died at the scene.
Just before 7 p.m. Thursday, the woman was walking on the road near the 600 block of Palomar Street when an eastbound black Toyota Corolla struck her, and not long after, she was also struck by a white Scion 1A, according to him Chula Vista Police Department.
Officers and paramedics rushed to the scene and attempted to save the life of the woman, who was not identified pending family notification, but died at the scene of her injuries, authorities said.
Both drivers stopped after the fatal collision and cooperated with police. Alcohol or drugs were not believed to be a factor in the crash, according to the CVPD.
The CVPD Traffic Bureau was investigating the fatal collision.
