Lagos police prosecute three women for public brawl


The Lagos State Police Command prosecuted three women for allegedly taking part in a public brawl that resulted in one of them being injured in the Oshodi area of ​​the state.

The defendants, Amimat Adebayo, 25 years old; Ahmed Shukurah, 24; and Ahmed Jumoke, 28; They were arraigned on Wednesday before LA Magistrate Owolabi of the Ikeja Magistrate Court which is in the Ogba area of ​​the state.

The post read: “That you, Amimat Adebayo, Ahmed Shukurah and Ahmed Jumoke, on January 22, 2023, around 12:30 p.m. fighting, thereby committing a contrary offense and punishable under Section 54 of the Penal Laws of Lagos State, Nigeria, 2015.”

The defendants pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The defense attorney, Christiana Folaranmi, requested bail on the most liberal terms.

Owolabi gave them a bond in the amount of N50,000 each with two guarantees for the same amount.

The case was adjourned until February 23, 2023, by mention.
