Kano Governor Abdullahi Ganduje enthusiastically welcomed many members of the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, at the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the country’s general elections in February-March 2023.

NNPP members left their party in the APC AT Minjibir and Ungogo local government areas of Kano state on Sunday.

Ganduje joined the large number of supporters, who, to thunderous cheers, removed their iconic red Kwankwasiyya caps and tossed them onto the campaign podium.

They claimed that the APC was the only party that could fulfill their hopes and dreams for a better state of Kano and Nigeria.

Ganduje, who is also the APC state leader, welcomed the defectors, led by the leader of Kwankwasiyya worshipers in Minjibir, Ibrahim Hamza, and congratulated them on their wise decision.

He then praised the large crowd turnout at the rally, calling it unprecedented.

Therefore, the governor urged the people to vote en masse for all the APC candidates in the next general elections.

He then presented APC flags to local candidates for the House of Representatives and the State Assembly.

Earlier, Abdullahi Abbas, the APC state chairman, stated that the APC had always won the elections in Minjibir and Ungogo and would continue to do so in the upcoming general elections.

Abbas praised the large turnout of APC supporters at the rally and urged people in the area to continue voting for APC for its growth and development.
