Editor’s Comments: Accor Targets Residential Sector – Boutique Hotel News

As one of the most active hotel chains, Accor has catapulted into 2023 with a series of launches. Having recently introduced the “largest sailing ship in the worldSince then, the company has heralded its focus on the residential sector with the introduction of a development and operating platform. Accor One Living.

According to Savills, Accor rose through the ranks in 2022 to become the third largest parent company of branded residences (by number of projects completed that year). Under Accor One Living, the group could close in behind Marriott, which is currently ranked number one.

Furthermore, I suspect that Accor will shake up the residing branded product that has historically belonged to the luxury segment. Ennismore, the lifestyle division of Accor, has recently revealed that Mama Shelter will open its first branded residences in Dubai. COO Cedric Gobilliard described the move as “bringing Mama Shelter’s bold and extravagant style to the world of branded residences, offering something completely new to the market.”
