APC Presidential Standard Bearer Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu congratulated the people of Kwara State on their secured political liberation in the 2019 general election that swept the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, out of power.
Speaking at the party’s presidential campaign rally held at Metropolitan Square, Ilorin on Tuesday, Tinubu said the people of the state deserve a big congratulations for that feat.
The presidential candidate who asked if they wanted to return to the dark ages, urged them to cement their freedom by securing their Permanent Voter Credentials, PVC and vote APC en masse to sustain their political freedom.
Tinubu thanked the people for believing in Governor Abdulrahaman Abdulrazaq and charged them to use their brooms to lead the party to victory in the upcoming general elections at all levels.
In his speech, the party’s national chairman, Abdullahi Adamu, said that from what he has seen at the rally, the state has said loud and clear that it “is fully BATified for the general election.”
Also speaking, the party chairman in the state, Prince Sunday Fagbemi, said that “we will hand over the state to Bola Tinubu in the presidential election.”
Governor Abdulrahaman Abdulrazaq in his speech went down memory lane lamenting the poor state of the development and the huge debts he encountered on the land in 2019 when he took office.
Tinubu, Kashim and Adamu, who arrived in Ilorin in the company of several APC leaders, were received by Governor Abdulrahaman Abdulrazaq and other senior party leaders, including Information Minister Lai Mohammed.
Tinubu and his entourage also paid homage to the Emir of Ilorin, Dr. Ibrahim Zulu Gambari at his palace.
