The 2023 BMW 3 Series LCI brings updated technology and exterior appearance, along with a few additional standard features. In case you’re thinking about upgrading, here are all the changes to the facelifted version of BMW’s popular sports sedan.

The G20 3 Series is an impressive offering in the BMW lineup.
It’s stylish, has good features, and offers a great driving experience, but an updated model is now available for 2023.3 LCI Series.
When sitting next to each other, both cars are recognizably a BMW.But the new model features some subtle cosmetic changes, along with updates to the technology.
These are the fixes you can expect in the LCI (Life Cycle Impulse) update.
Updates in the design of the BMW 3 Series LCI
The exterior features some understated tweaks to the front and rear of the car.
Up front, you’ll notice sharper LED headlights on all models with a more aggressive front fascia and larger air dam on M-Sport-equipped cars.
There are also new wheels and colors available. The color you see here is Brooklyn Gray in a metallic finish. Please note that Sunset Orange and Mineral Gray are no longer available.
The rear has undergone a slight redesign to the bumper, while the trapezoidal exhaust, taillights, and spoiler remain the same.
In the cabin, the gear lever for the eight-speed automatic transmission has been replaced with a smaller one. The dashboard layout is presented in a cleaner way as the dedicated climate control panel has now been integrated into the software.
Technological updates of the BMW 3 Series LCI
The biggest change to the updated 3 Series is the updated infotainment system. A single curved section of glass houses larger screens for the instrument cluster and infotainment.
For the driver, the 10.25-inch LCD has grown to 12.3-inches, while the infotainment has now gone from the same 10.25-inches to 14.9-inches.

While the previous version’s infotainment system was packed with features, it had a very understated theme, devoid of color and pop. Get in the new car and the rich graphics, large icons and expansive canvas of this huge screen add that extra touch you didn’t know was missing.
Access to climate controls is easy with the driver and passenger displays always located at the bottom of the screen, with additional controls like heated seats available in the climate menu.
The home screen can be customized, allowing you to arrange the widgets according to your needs. All functions can be accessed in a number of different ways, including via the touchscreen, the BMW iDrive rotary controller, steering wheel controls, gesture control or voice commands.
The instrument cluster of the new model is full of color and more modern than the G20 model. The BMW Live Cockpit functionality is similar to what you’re used to, but now you have the flexibility to change the layout of the screen.
The latest example is the same 3 Series you know and love, with the celebrated engine, sophisticated design, and great standard features. And now, it’s also packed with the latest and greatest technology to boot.
