Piers Morgan, a British broadcaster, has criticized former Manchester United captain Gary Neville after he predicted the Red Devils would finish ahead of Arsenal in the Premier League this season.
Morgan, a passionate Arsenal fan, has bet £5,000 that the Gunners would finish above Manchester United at the end of the season.
Arsenal and Manchester United have been in excellent form of late.
Mikel Arteta’s side defeated North London Premier League rival Tottenham Hotspur over the weekend, while Man United won 2-1 against Manchester City.
Neville had told Martin Tyler that he does not expect Arsenal, who are currently eight points ahead of second-place Man City, to win the league, adding that Man United will finish above Arsenal.
“No. Manchester City will win the league and Manchester United will finish second,” Neville said.
In response to Neville’s comments, Morgan, in a tweet, via his Twitter account, wrote: “
“Get down T-Bag. Bet you £5000 to charity Arsenal finish higher in the League than Utd,” Morgan tweeted.
