Mike Tyson is widely considered one of the greatest heavyweight boxers of all time. He had the best punch in his weight class and was a long time champion. Even though his career ended abruptly, he is still highly regarded.
These days, Tyson continues to pay a lot of attention to the world of boxing. He is constantly teasing a possible return to the ring. Also, he has been watching as the youngsters try to master his trade. One of those people is none other than Gervonta Davis, who remains undefeated.
While speaking to TMZ, Tyson was asked about his thoughts on Davis. As you can imagine, Tyson thinks about him a lot right now. Overall, Davis is an undefeated fighter with the biggest fight of his career ahead of him. He’s set to take on Ryan Garcia and by all accounts it’s going to be a fantastic matchup.
“Tank is a great fighter,” Tyson said. “He will be [a legend] also if he keeps fighting.” Davis is someone who has received much praise over the years. Plus, he has the backing of Floyd Mayweather, who knows what it takes to go undefeated for an entire career.
When it comes to boxing, there is always this next man concept. With Davis at the top of his game, there are now a lot of fighters who want to go after him. Whether or not any of those guys will actually succeed remains to be seen.
