Hyundai’s Tucson Elite and Highlander grades are available with a wider choice of engines: the 2.0-litre petrol is joined by a 1.6-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine (producing 132kW/265Nm) and a 2.0-litre turbodiesel ( developing 137kW/ 416Nm).

Both turbocharged engines deliver their power to all four wheels via automatic transmissions, with the petrol turbo mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox, while the diesel is paired with an eight-speed torque converter.
