Hank Yang, a well-known poker player at the Aria poker casino in Las Vegas, has died.

Hang Yang, a Las Vegas poker player, has passed away suddenly. Jesse Segall, who described the late poker player as “the most generous and friendliest player,” tweeted the news.
A Virginia native, Yang built that reputation over the years by focusing primarily on cash poker.
He tweeted, “RIP Hank Yang. Shocked to learn of his passing today. Every time he was in the @ARIAPoker room, he was the most generous/friendly player there was.
His love for poker was obvious, but his love for people was second to none. The void left in his wake will be impossible to fill.

Hank Yang’s cause of death has yet to be revealed. Yang regularly played cash games at Aria for many years, earning a reputation as one of the most refined players there.
Although he wasn’t a fan of tournaments, the Hendon Mob reports that he cashed $178,492 in them over the course of his career.

Who was Hank Yang?
Hank Yang was a regular poker player at Aria. His Hendon Mob stats only list three total cash amounts, and the latest was in a $3,000 buy-in no-limit hold ’em tournament at the WPT World Championships last month at Wynn Las Vegas, where he finished in 40 for $12,496.
Yang’s other two wins were in $10,000 buy-in contests. His first was a $115,500 career finish as runner-up in a pot-limit Omaha tournament at the WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic 2021 at Bellagio 2021.
And the other was a 15th place finish for $50,496 in a PLO tournament at the 2022 World Series of Poker.
Yang appeared on Poker After Dark on PokerGO in 2018, one of the best-known poker cash game streams in history.
He played in a $20,000 minimum buy-in game against the likes of Daniel Negreanu and Phil Hellmuthand. He came away with a $100,000 win, the most on the table.
