‘Dancing With the Stars’ Cast Reacts To Jenna Johnson And Val Chmerkovskiy’s Welcome To Their First Child: Witney Carson, Cheryl Burke & More
A supportive family! lindsay arnold, daniella karagach and more of the Dancing with the Stars cast couldn’t contain their excitement at the arrival of Jenna Johnson Y Chmerkovskiy Valleyit is small.
“Our world has changed forever ? 1.10.2023,” Johnson, 28, wrote via Instagram on Wednesday, January 11, announcing that she and Chmerkovskiy, 36, had welcomed their first child. Her post included a black-and-white photo showing her and the Ukraine native holding the hand of her new bundle of joy.
Following the big news, the co-stars of the professional dancers flocked to the booth to congratulate the happy couple.
“??? I love you so much sweet boy!!” Arnold, who is currently expecting the second baby with her husband sam cusickwrote.
“AHHH CONGRATULATIONS ??,” Karagach said in the comments while witney carson, for his part, simply commented: “AHHHHHH!!!!!” Both women announced in November 2022 that they were also pregnant. Johnson first shared the exciting news about her and Val in July 2022.
“Our biggest dream come true so far ?,” she announced via Instagram at the time. “Baby Chmerkovskiy is coming this January! My heart has grown beyond comprehension as this little miracle grew inside of me. We can’t wait to meet our precious angel ?”.
She added: “The moment my whole world changed. In fact, we had stopped trying to conceive for about 6 months to give ourselves a mental/emotional break… so the shock, disbelief and sheer joy at this moment is a memory I will never forget.”
The Utah native had previously opened up about her infertility struggles before giving birth.
“After two years of infertility and hundreds of negative tests after negative tests, it sometimes broke my heart to remain optimistic and made me wonder if I would ever have this opportunity,” she said in an Instagram video shortly after the news broke. that she was waiting for. “I’ll go into more depth on our fertility journey a bit later, but if any of you are struggling to get pregnant, suffering from infertility, or mourning a pregnancy loss… don’t lose HOPE.”
In September 2022, the So You Think You Can Dance alum opened up to Us Weekly about how she and Val had grown closer during her pregnancy.
“He’s been such a support through my pregnancy because there’s a lot going on in my body that’s weird and not normal,” she gushed. “And he makes me feel like an absolute beauty queen.”
The couple met when Johnson joined the competition series in 2014 and began dating the following year. While putting their relationship on hiatus in 2016, the duo rekindled their romance and got engaged in June 2018. The dancers tied the knot in April 2019.
