Group One buys 13.5% of MicroStrategy shares

Options market maker Group One bought 13.5% of MicroStrategy shares, according to a January 10 SEC filing. presentation.

The trading company owns approximately 1.3 million shares of MicroStrategy. The filing did not indicate the amount of shares that were purchased.

Following the news, the firm led by Michael Saylor shares pink 8.57% to $190 at press time.

MicroStrategy’s MSTR share had declined by more than 70% last year as the broader market crash sent Bitcoin trading to all-time lows.

MicroStrategy is one of the largest Bitcoin holders. The company bought 2,395 BTC between November 1 and December 21 to bring his total holding to 132,500 BTC.

According to Group One website, the firm is one of the largest private options trading firms in the United States. He added that he maintains a physical presence on the Chicago Board Options Exchange, the New York Stock Exchange Amex and Arca and Nasdaq PHLX.
