What happened to Dwight Petten?
For the people of Port De Grave and Newfoundland, today is a sad day. Dwight Petten, a stalwart of the fishing industry, has been lost. Dwight Petten, a Port de Grave fisherman whose business includes four fishing boats, passed away suddenly Friday at 11:08 pm, surrounded by his devoted family. At the age of 56, he passed away. Everyone who knew Dwight described him as a young fisherman, businessman, family man, and friend.

Dwight was well known in the fishing industry, having been a fisherman all his life. His cause of death was not disclosed. The fishing community of Port De Grave and Newfoundland, however, is overwhelmed and scared by his passing. Although he was skilled at it, Dwight wasn’t just a waterman. His faith in God never wavered throughout his life.

Who was Dwight Petten?
In Port de Grave, Dwight Petten was a well-known fisherman. From the sea to the beach, he was a prosperous fisherman who never let an opportunity pass him by. Dwight was constantly working to decorate his boats and was a huge fan of boat lighting. Having lived most of his life at sea, he seemed like a man always on the move.
