Blizzard has revealed Battle for Olympus, a new limited time mode for surveillance 2. The next event will take place from January 5-19, and based on the name, it will fit in with the theme of Greek mythology seen throughout the course. Season 2.
The trailer begins with the following heroes, all with Greek skins: Junker Queen, Roadhog, Pharah, Lucio, Ramattra, Widowmaker, and Reinhardt. Below is a quick montage of all the heroes with words like “Unleash the power of the gods” appearing on the screen. Players will also be able to earn rewards by playing in this event.
According to the trailer, in this limited time mode, each of the heroes listed above will have additional powers based on specific Greek Gods when their ult activates. For example, near the end of the trailer, Junker Queen is shown with her Zeus-inspired look running towards enemies while she attacks them with lightning bolts. At the same time, Widowmaker is shown wearing her Medusa-inspired skin, turning Reinhardt to stone as she targets him with her scope.
