Elixinol CBD Oil Review

We tried Elixinol Full Spectrum Organic Balance Tincture and Elixinol Full Spectrum Daily Balance Tincture.

Currently, Organic Balance only comes in a 1-ounce, 300mg tincture, while Daily Balance Tincture comes in four strengths and sizes.

Elixinol also offers other tinctures, including a Daily Balance tincture made with full spectrum hemp extract and a Full Spectrum Daily Balance Liposome.

Our team reviews CBD oils based on their quality, concentration, value, packaging, ingredients, and effectiveness.

Let’s start with the quality of Elixinol’s hemp-derived CBD.

Quality

Elixinol, a vertically integrated company, sources its hemp from Colorado registered hemp farmers who grow USDA certified organic hemp.

As part of its organic certification, the hemp is not sprayed with pesticides or herbicides, while various other safety protocols are followed.

Elixinol uses CO2 to extract oil from the aerial parts of the plant, the parts exposed to air, such as the stem, leaves and flower.

CO2 is one of the most popular solvents used to extract hemp oil because it does not require filtration, preserving the purity of the oil and leaving no residue that can be toxic to consumers.

Elixinol primarily formulates its products with full-spectrum hemp extract, but the brand uses broad-spectrum hemp extract in some of its products.

In the case of the Organic Balance and Daily Balance tinctures we tested, Elixinol uses full-spectrum extract.

Elixinol has all its products third party lab tested by Eurofins, a globally recognized and respected lab based in Luxembourg.

To further verify results, the brand also uses Botanacor, a respected third-party lab based in Denver, Colorado.

Elixinol asks these labs to test its products for cannabinoid potency, residual solvents, heavy metals, pesticides, and microbes.

All Elixinol products have QR codes printed on their labels, allowing consumers to quickly access the brand’s batch test page.

Consumers can enter their product’s lot number, typically found on the bottom of the Sports Gel bottle, to view third-party test results.

In addition to its USDA organic certification, Elixinol has earned cGMP certification and the US Hemp Authority seal from the organization’s certification program.

The brand is also a member of the US Hemp Roundtable, the industry’s most prestigious advocacy body.

Concentration

The CBD concentration in Organic Balance is 300mg (10mg/ml) while Daily Balance has 500mg (16.7mg/ml).

According to the certificates of analysis, the Organic Balance had 10.6 mg/ml while the Daily Balance had 18 mg/ml.

Third party results for our Organic Balance tincture did not detect any other cannabinoids besides THC (well within the legal limit).

However, the results for our Daily Balance tincture detected 0.7mg/ml CBDA, 0.4mg/ml CBG, and 0.4mg/ml THC (within the legal limit).

Seeing minor cannabinoids show up on a lab report for a full spectrum is always an encouraging sign with a full spectrum product.

Regarding the CBD content, our team is a bit disappointed with the low concentrations that Elixinol offers.

Elixinol offers four strengths for this particular Daily Balance tincture, including 133 mg/0.27 oz (16.6 mg/ml), 500 mg/1 oz (16.7 mg/ml), 1000 mg/2 oz ( 16.7 mg/ml) and 4000 mg/4 oz (33.3 mg/ml).

As you can see, even though the amount of CBD increases, the level of concentration remains the same because the amount of oil also increases equally up to the 4000mg tincture.

It’s nice to see a brand offering different tincture sizes, but we’d love to see Elixinol increase its concentrations.

However, people respond differently to various concentrations, and as a result, products with this kind of potency have the potential to be effective for the right person.

Worth

Both tinctures retail for $29.99, which works out to $0.10/mg for Organic Balance and $0.06/mg for Daily Balance.

While concentrations may be low, so are prices.

A prominent differentiator for Elixinol is its brand loyalty, and affordable products like these are one way the brand has cultivated and maintained a following.

Elixinol employs a simple and elegant design for its CBD tinctures that is more or less uniform, distinguishable almost solely by color.

Each of the tinctures contains supplemental information, an ingredient list, suggested use information, an FDA disclaimer, a QR code, and the US Hemp Authority seal.

The Organic Balance label also bears the USDA Organic Seal.

The bottles are dark navy blue to protect from sunlight and are capped with child resistant dropper caps.

Ingredients

Ingredients in Organic Balance include: Organic MCT Coconut Oil, Organic Whole Plant Hemp Extract, and Organic Copaiba Oil.

Daily Balance ingredients include: hemp extract, coconut MCT oil, peppermint oil, cinnamon oil, and beta-caryophyllene (BCP).

These ingredients for both tinctures are simple and healthy.

With Organic Balance, our team was happy to see that Elixinol uses completely organic ingredients, not just organic hemp extract.

Taste

As advertised on the label, Organic Balance has a natural hemp flavor and aroma.

The hemp flavor was not as strong as other naturally flavored CBD oil tinctures we have used, probably due to the low concentration of CBD, which was good for our team.

On the other hand, Daily Balance has a powerful flavor of cinnamon and mint.

The spicy flavor of cinnamon and the cool, refreshing taste of mint make for a fun experience that our team enjoyed.

The flavor of cinnamon tends to linger, so the more subtle natural flavor option for Daily Balance may be what some customers prefer.

Effectiveness

Although Daily Balance was more effective for some members of our team, neither tincture produced significant benefits.

We test two to three servings of any of the tinctures each time we use them to see what kind of benefits we notice.

Organic Balance seemed to help us feel a bit calmer and more relaxed than without CBD.

Daily Balance seemed useful to provide energy and help us focus a little better.

Overall, our team experienced more noticeable benefits with Daily Balance than with Organic Balance, which we attribute to the higher concentration of CBD.

That being said, these concentrations may be sufficient for those who only require small servings of CBD.

After our Elixinol CBD Oil review, we have determined that Elixinol produces high-quality, affordable CBD oil.

While the brand primarily offers only low potency CBD oil, the value is amazing due to the low costs and excellent value for money.

We enjoyed the taste of both tinctures: Organic Balance’s natural yet subtle hemp flavor and Daily Balance’s stronger cinnamon flavor.

Although we did not experience significant effects, Daily Balance was helpful for energy and focus, we know that many people likely find these tinctures beneficial in their respective concentrations.

With all that being said, we recommend Elixinol’s CBD oil.
