The Today host shares his daughter Leila and son Nick with his wife deborah robertswhom he married in 1995. Roker adopted his daughter Courtney during his previous marriage to Alice Bellto whom he was married from 1984 to 1994.

In April 2019, Roker revealed in an article wrote for Guideposts magazine that her son was “somewhere on the spectrum and maybe obsessive-compulsive.” A month later, the meteorologist told Us Weekly about how could i not be more proud of nick.

“He’s one of those people who doesn’t let anything get in his way,” Roker exclusively told Us at the time. “I don’t think she recognizes the problems that she has. ‘I’m just going to do this.’ [It’s] So wonderful.”

In January 2020, the television personality admitted he had room to grow when it came to his relationship with his son. “I want to be more patient, I think,” Roker said on the Today show. “Especially towards the end of the week after I get a bit tired, I tend to be a bit short with Nick. I’m trying to be a little more patient with people.”

Your fellow Today presenter, hoda kotb he had nothing but praise and respect for his co-star and his relationship with his son. “Al and I had the opportunity to celebrate the New Year together and one of the things [now-ex-husband] joel [Schiffman] and I both marvel when it comes to you and your family, it’s you and your son, Nick,” the Oklahoma native explained. “I know there are a lot of great father-son relationships out there, there are probably a million people watching right now. [but] Watching Nick rest his head on your shoulder can be one of the most beautiful sights I’ve ever seen.”

She continued: “Joel and I often talk about you and your son because he is such an amazing kid. We have seen it grow over the years. He has a problem that he deals with, and you have noticed [it] outside. …When I watch you with him, I always think that you have infinite patience.”

Roker joked to his coworker that she caught him on a “good” day but still wanted to “be a better person” for his family.

“Like many parents who have children with special needs [know], they can test your patience ”, he reflected. “It’s not like they intend to do it or anything like that. … What I love about him, what I admire about him, is that he just attacks it head on. He is very goal oriented and he is a great guy”.

The Roker family celebrated Nick’s birthday by going to a Yankees game in July 2021. “The #birthday tradition continues! Our first #postpandemic @yankees game celebrating @nick.roker155’s #19thbirthday,” he shared.

While spending their anniversary in Paris in September 2021, Roker and Roberts also spent quality time with their daughter Leila, who has moved to the French city. The family enjoyed a nice dinner with a stunning view of the Eiffel Tower.

The meteorologist wrote a touching tribute to his two daughters on National Daughter’s Day in September 2021. “These two are the reason why they created #nationalchildsday #nationalchildchildday @ouichefroker and @cleilapatra who make me so proud every day “Roker wrote via Instagram.

All the Roker kids got together for dinner in June 2022 to celebrate their dad for Father’s Day. “For the first time in 5 years @debrobertsabc surprised me by making sure @cleilapatra got here for #fathersday,” the Daytime Emmy winner revealed via Instagram. “It is the first time that my 3 children are together this day. And we celebrate at @mattabdoo’s new venue @pig_beach_queens.”

In August 2022, Roker and his wife helped their youngest son on his way to college. “I guess this is happening,” the journalist posted on Instagram. “Take the last one to college. Very proud of a @nickroker155.”

A month after dropping Nick off at college, his mom and dad went to visit their son for the school’s family weekend in September 2022. “It was so great to be able to see Nick on campus for # family weekend and see him with his friends”. the meteorologist captioned a selfie with his family while he was on campus.

The proud dad shared a series of vintage photos of Nick on Instagram in September 2022 in honor of National Son’s Day. “I am one of the luckiest parents in the world to be able to celebrate such a special young man like @nickroker155 on #nationalsonday,” he gushed.

The Roker family gathered for Thanksgiving in November 2022. The reporter was recovering at home after being hospitalized with blood clots in his lungs and legs. Due to his condition, Roker had to skip coverage of the Macy’s Thanksgiving parade for the first time in 27 years.

“So #grateful to be home for #thanksgivingdinner with the #family,” the author of Been There, Done That: Family Wisdom for Modern Times wrote via Instagram.

“From our family to yours #merrychristmas,” Roker wrote alongside a photo of his family wearing matching Charlie Brown pajamas as they ate breakfast. Even his dog had a green outfit with illustrations of Snoopy and the Peanuts gang.
