The best way to farm Essence of Dawning is by doing Eve Levante Bounties, as they reward Essence of Dawning for completing them, followed by Heist Battlegrounds, which are seasonal activities. Participating in Crucbile and Gambit matches has very high Essence of Dawning returns.
