The majority of the stories share themes of beauty, power and the desire for love or approval—themes that Monica Jackson’s "The Ultimate Diet" riffs on wonderfully as the obese Keeshia, rather than beginning another diet, figures out how to turn into a vampire so she can be slender and irresistible, just like her beautiful serial-killing neighbor."–Publishers Weekly Veteran writer Monica Jackson, loved by her many fans for her quirky sense of humor, outdoes herself in "The Ultimate Diet" a tale of one sister’s quest for the perfect body that has hilarious results. Diet diva Keeshia Meadows willingly trades her chunky thighs and big hips for sharp fangs and a small waist but soon finds that she’s bitten off more than she can chew.–The Black Collegian |

| Free Novella Read: The Choice
This novella is published in an anthology by Genesis Press. I no longer link to online bookstores carrying this because although the book was carried by retail outlets for years, I’ve never received a single statement reflecting their sales of my work as contracted or any royalty payments, nor have any of the other authors. So download and enjoy the freebie novella! What readers said on Amazon about The Choice. . . Excellent Holiday book. I read this book in 2000, again in 2001 and it will be re-read in 2002. My favorite story was The Choice by Monica Jackson. These four Christmas stories were awesome. Each story was something truly special and they were all first-class material. I must admit my favorite was The Choice by Monica Jackson. I know the holidays are over but if you can your hand on a copy of this novel, do so. I loved all the stories, but I think ‘The Choice’ was my favorite. Read it and see if you agree! |

But when Topaz wished for true love, it didn’t quite turn out the way she’d hoped… "I have an enjoyable time reading this story at the end of the day." –the indomitable
The book that started it all ( I don’t have a novella in this one, but I recommend it wholeheartedly to round out your collection!
